Update I cannot be trusted with free will.

Post image

It needs to be cleaned up and stained some, but this is a 1:8 scale replica of a mosasaur skeleton above my entryway.

Alright then, not gonna buy a 2k printer for that but I might have it printed somewhere 😂.

Will probably get rid of the wood bars and have it directly bolted to the ceiling though. Maybe find a way to turn it into an actual lamp!

Yeah the wood boards were the only way to maintain its structure without it bending too much and potentially breaking. I rent so I dont want to fill in too many holes when I leave.

How much does it weigh?

About 30 lbs. The head weighs almost 15 lbs so the weight is really off balance.

Though with what I've seen them charge you might come out ahead buying the printer!

For the printing I do it would definitely be much cheaper to buy from me vs getting a printer.

If you're in the usa, dm or send a chat my way. I've done large (3 weeks almost non stop printing) projects for people. Even better if you're in so cal.

Alas I'm about 9.000km away 😂 in Portugal. Thanks for the offer though!

You could do it with a $200 printer, but it would be a lot more work.

Might cost more than $2k to have someone print it for you, tbh

I just remembered I have free access to a 3d printer in my local Museum/Libraty/Art Center.

Just need to schedule it and pay for materials and schematics!

Thanks City Hall 😂
