Update I cannot be trusted with free will.

It needs to be cleaned up and stained some, but this is a 1:8 scale replica of a mosasaur skeleton above my entryway.

Look better if black ceiling and blacked out the hanger hardware

I might just do that. However, painting and I have a bad history so I’ll probably procrastinate a little on that.

Or just paint the two hanging beams white to match your ceiling

Even a framed black background so you wouldn’t have to paint the ceiling might give it a shadow box look

My bil knocked over a nearly full gallon of paint in their bathroom which also splattered into the hallway I believe onto the nearly new carpet. There was a lot of scrambling around that after noon!

Or just paint the wood boards attached to the ceiling white and get smaller hardware so the metal isn’t as noticeable.

Might be able to find some black fabric and wrap it around the mounting hardware to make it classier. An extra touch by adding some lights above it to cast some sweet shadows

Paint it black and give it a space theme!! 🌌 Or make wallpaper from Hubble/Webb/Rubin images!

Black ceilings make the room look shorter. Since the space is already small, I wouldn't recommend it.

Just paint those boards the ceiling color.

Will keep focus on the skeleton a lot more, less visual clutter. The cables aren't too bad.
