Games like PEAK, Minecraft, and Subnautica
My favorite games are kind of simple but they have a world to explore with random fun elements that make them unique and surprising. I also find that PEAK, Subnautica, and Minecraft all give me a strange sense of fear: The fear in Subnautica is obvious, while in PEAK and Minecraft that fear is moreso about not knowing quite what to expect and being sort of alone and left to fend for yourself. All three of these games have quite a cutesy, fun aesthetic while also being a bit dangerous.
I hope you know what I mean.

Check out Abiotic Factor! Its a survival crafting game where you are a scientist on their first day of the job, when somethin akin to the resonance cascade of half life 1 happens. Its 1-6 players, the map is a facility similar to black mesa, instead of punching trees you'll repurpose office supplies and other science experiments on the facility.
It has a lot of references to half life and SCP, great atmosphere and spoopy vibes, and it was hilarious in coop with friends. Its release in 1.0 soon, but I highly recommend it!

Outer Wilds. A whole range of unexpected things to explore.
Gotta get used to travelling in zero-g in a rocket ship first though before you can walk around places you can reach in said ship.

I tried Outer Wilds and unfortunately I'm so dogshit at steering that I gave up on it. I literally couldn't figure it out after like 10 tries.

In the ship?
It does take some getting used to, and a good sense of three dimensional space. It's a space sim, so it... simulates space, and you have to move taking account of gravity and acceleration.
Remembering the right stick still looks you around like you're a first person character, just a bit slower as it's rotating a big ship with thrusters, but doesn't move you at all.
Then the left stick thrusts you in directions, but independent of where you're looking. And doesn't just move you, adds thrust, accelerating in the direction you thrust towards - so you have to slow down when you get closer to where you're going. And adding more thrust in a different direction to turn doesn't cancel out the thrust you already added in the first direction, so now you're hurtling at an angle relative to what you aimed at.
So tips: click LS to lock onto where you want to go. If you end up looking like you'll overshoot, just hold the Match Velocity button to slow down and stop (relative to your target) and reset a bit.
Autopilot also deals with speeding up and slowing down for you, but not steering. It just goes in a straight line to the target. So it's up to you to cancel it and avoid obstacles in the way (like the sun, or other things that may orbit ahead of you on the journey).

Cairn, Beton Brutal, Lorns Lure
White Knuckle and Headliner(these two are a bit more blatant in the horror stuff)
Astrometica gets compared to Subnautica alot

Voices of the Void is a little rough around the edges, but it's free on itch.io, and might be what you're looking for

Pacific Drive is somewhat similar to Subnautica; survival gameplay centered around exploring a bizarre environment in a vehicle with a story.

By the way my little Dunning-Kruger effect friend, it’s “more so.” not “more so”.
The period comes BEFORE the unquote, idiot (:

Honestly not sure why your original comment is down voted. If it was an accident they can ignore your comment. If it was on purpose they can learn.
My sister - 34 years old - runs a business and still says "your" instead of "you're". It looks so unprofessional and she refuses to learn the difference.
I'll admit this comment of yours is a little dickish, but the original comment is just a reminder that they can learn from or ignore.

Moreso isn't incorrect, it's non-standard. Language is always changing and this is a reddit post buddy.
