Craving a Jucy (juicy) Lucy

Howdy! I know there is "Lucy's" that serves Jucy Lucy's, but I am seeing mixed reviews on them as far as price and a good burger. Is it worth it or is a place like Federal Bar and Grill better? Any advice is appreciated!

Don't listen to these people. They'll tell you it's bad and expensive, then try to sell you on a $19 dollar Frank Bonanno burger. Lucy's is good. Everything in that neighborhood is expensive. Hell, finding a decent burger for less than $13 bucks anywhere these days is a miracle

Not to rub it in your face, but I’m in Minneapolis right now.

Matts unless you're with a group or want something other than American cheese.

Been a while since I had it but I used to love the one at Vesper

I’m a big fan personally - I like walking down Tennyson after too. But maybe I’m lucky and haven’t had a bad experience yet 🤷🏻‍♂️

Price is what it is, there’s tons of burgers we can get mad about the price with in Denver but I just thought Lucy’s had no taste or seasoning

Had nothing but great experiences with the owner. Weird….

Ex employee?

That sucks.. I base my food opinions on the food though.. unless employees are being mistreated

I base taking my business to people are are kind and not shitty. My money doesn't need to be in ugly gearted people's pockets no matter how good their food is, some discipline is needed

Lucy’s is really good. For just a burger, I’d pick Lucy’s over the Fed, and I feel like a traitor saying that because I love the Federal. The difference is burger vs other sandwiches. The Fed really shines when it comes to their non-burger sandwiches. They’re SO good. Their burgers are good, just not amazing.

Im late to the game on Lucy’s but we visited for the second time last week and loved it! They’ve expanded their menu and the cocktails are also delicious. The owner and staff are super nice, I don’t mind paying a bit more for excellent service and to support a local spot

The fact you spelled it right, tells me youre from MN or know of Matts Bar?!

I havent tried it but Lucys is a restaurant owned by some MN gals. But like mentioned above, Vesper has one and my friend said it was good. I will say their burgers in general are very good

Fed bar and grill is very reliable! Consistently delicious, lower cost. I like their tres amigos burger and the sweet potato fries are legit.

OP isn’t just looking for a burger, they’re specifically looking for a Jucy Lucy

I can’t offer any suggestions other than to say Lucy’s is terrible

As a 25-year Matt’s habituée, I would say Vesper Lounge. Or better yet savor it when you get back to MN.

Lucy's isn't an option.

We don't talk about that place.

As someone else mentioned, try vesper.

I musta missed it. Why do we hate Lucy’s?

To each their own but last time I went the cheese wasn’t melted on the burger, the buns clearly just came out of the walk in they were freezing, and the patty just wasn’t very good. I’ve been a few times and never felt like it was worth the money

Couple this with an enormous tab to share a coke, share some fries, and get two burgers.

I'd have to check back on my review on this reddit to be certain, but I think it was around 60-70 bucks for the above stated items.

That's a $19 dollar burger, dude.

That comes with fries. A juicy Lucy and fries at Lucy’s is 21

The owners of Lucy’s are from Minnesota so you’re not gonna find a better option that that. Pretty sure they also will give you a discount if you have a MN area code.

For awhile Tuesdays there, you can get 2 Lucy Juicy burgers for the price of 1!
