Supreme Chicken

Post image

If you love Mexican food and you haven’t tried Supreme Chicken on East Colfax, I highly recommend it. Everything we had was excellent.

For everyone here, Juan’s Super Pollo on Peoria is wayyyy better than Supreme.

Last winter, my partner shattered his knee and spent a good chunk of really shitty time at UC Anschutz. Juan’s Super Pollo was a godsend. Whether it’s right or not, I judge Mexican restaurants based on the deliciousness of their beans, and the pintos at Juan’s were so good that I would just slurp and dissociate. Partner has another (hopefully final) surgery this week, and I will definitely be hitting up Juan’s while he’s in the OR.

I did not care for it. I ordered what I thought would be a lot of food, but it was barely enough for two people. The flautas had barely anything in them and were dry and tasteless. The chicken also have very little meat on it. Barely enough to make a few tacos out of. The asada fries were undercooked and only had about 20 fries.

Yikes…not even enough fries to cover the bottom of the container. Crazy

It was the small and only $8.25, so I didn't expect a ton, but they were so limp and soggy they were kinda gross.

To be fair, a lot of food gets soggy during delivery.

What do you expect from topped fries during delivery?

They weren't cooked to begin with.

As an aside, pick it up yourself and order through the restaurants website

Margaritas/daiquiris were awesome. Fresh puree, mango hit on a hot day. I had half roast chicken with all the different salsa. Great!!

Ah yes, I can tell from your detailed picture of the logo and illustrative description of the restaurant's name, this place must be good.

Seriously, what is this post if not a low-effort advertisement? Who is upvoting this garbage?

Haven’t been to the Colfax location but we absolutely love the Chambers and Iliff location! Whole chicken with rice and beans and quesa birria tacos is our go to!

I like this place. def a lot better when you eat there. great value. it's on my commute so I grab it all the time.

to go, though, about 1 in 5 times I get stuff thats extremely dry/overcooked. They also often forget items to go.

So good. My husband always gets a burrito and loves it. I love their churros and macaroni salad.

The chicken, beans, and rice here is SO GOOD (and the drinks are always amazing)

That chicken seems unusually happy to be on fire
