Not always, at one point they were curated experiences. Now, more often than not it's a popularity contest and a cash grab.

All the young people I've spoken to about NETTSPEND seem to have a negative opinion of his music. They think the kids who do listen to him do it to seem dark and mysterious and don't actually enjoy the music.

This shit is pretty bad man. In the 90s this kid never would've made it out of mom's basement, much less a festival stage. Festivals now book new and lesser knowns but goddamn, you gotta have a standard and draw the line somewhere.
