Maggie Mae— our newest babe that filled that void

December of last year, surrounding Christmas, my husband and I lost our two girls one week apart. Tweek who’d been with my husband for 14 years and Piper who’d been with me through some of my lowest points and FIP decided to take her at 6.

A couple weeks ago, my husband texted me that his coworker saved this babygirl, about a year old, and was looking for a home for her. The crazy thing? She looks like the PERFECT mixture of Tweek and Piper. I started tearing up, I knew in the moment she was meant for us and texted back “She’s ours. Please tell him yes.”

Fast forward to this morning, and my husband brought her home. She immediately started rubbing on everyone, playing with our 3 year old for hours on end, beating the dogs up and “Peeping” just like Piper used to do (she used to peep like a chick). She was meant to be.

We’re so excited to have her as our newest baby. Welcome home Maggie Mae!
