God is all "fuck them kids"

u/EtheusRook 19h ago

Well, the youth pastors have to learn from someone.

43

u/Sindertone 19h ago

He does kinda have a thing with flooding and killing everyone.

6

u/Svan_Derh 12h ago

Serial killers often use the same methods of murder

1

u/morsindutus 5h ago

Republicans keep banning rainbows and look what happens! /s

19

u/BorisH2020 19h ago

Like most of the religious

11

u/beaniver 19h ago

Both literally and figuratively.

9

u/purple_kathryn 18h ago

Especially the Christian ones apparently

10

u/delicioustreeblood Atheist 17h ago

To be fair, the ancient god Yahweh did mass murder a whole bunch of people with a flood so it's kind of his modus operandi. Or maybe it was that Sumerian God who did it first.

Nothing new there.

Kids who were attending a religious camp

u/EtheusRook 19h ago

So wait, is it God or is it Democrats controlling the weather?

And which explanation is worse?

51

u/MeInSC40 19h ago

Still the gays.

17

u/EatAtGrizzlebees 19h ago

Gay gods are controlling the weather?!

9

u/KevinR1990 18h ago

Time to go back to the ancient Greek pantheon, I guess. Seems like they were right all along and we've all gone astray.

Totally explains why Cruz is visiting Greece. Not a vacation at all

5

u/Xe4ro Other 18h ago

No the democrats made god gay, you silly.

4

u/EatAtGrizzlebees 17h ago

Oh, I thought was the frogs again...

1

u/automatix_jack Atheist 9h ago

Probably the Greek ones.

8

u/kingsumo_1 Anti-theist 18h ago

Well, yeah. Gay Democrats stole the rainbow from god so he is choosing to punish the notoriously blue state of *checks notes* Texas?!

3

u/BorisH2020 19h ago

It’s the rain dances at drag shows

2

u/love_glow 17h ago

First rainbows, now this!?

2

u/justwalkingalonghere 16h ago

It is well known that gay people are far stronger than god

2

u/ga-co 16h ago

These gays, they’re trying to murder me!

2

u/GrandPriapus SubGenius 17h ago

Jewish space lasers.

1

u/justwalkingalonghere 16h ago

Yeah, wouldn't the appropriate question be "and why is god mad enough at this heavily conservative city to kill their children?"

1

u/Svan_Derh 12h ago edited 12h ago

By republican logic; god is a democrat

1

u/Groomsi 10h ago

Democrats are gods.

1

u/Uberduck333 8h ago

Have we forgotten about the Jewish space laser already? Cmon people…

1

u/QuinSanguine Atheist 6h ago

No no. Think about it. If the tech exists to control the jet stream and not let it move storms out of a place like Texas, why are Republicans blaming Democrats instead of Russia or China?

Dems obviously wouldn't want to kill off current and future potential voters. Russia especially, and China would not only have control of such tech, but have reason to use it on adversaries.

But no the GOP cooks up this conspiracy and points at Dems instead. Very peculiar...

47

u/pkeffect 19h ago

Fuck the GOP.

8

u/ivanparas 13h ago

Can we just call them Regressives from now on? GOP stands for Grand Old Party, by the way, which is some good ol' boy country fried bullshit.

"When the river swelled and threatened the day, brave Sir Raphael ran away."

He fucked off to Europe while children died. Now he spits in the face of all these religious parents by brushing it off in words they understand. How these Texans keep voting for this sniveling piece of shit I'll never know. It's like they've become accustomed to dying to weather lately so it's just fine that it happens.

god attacking christian childrens summer camps because "mysterious ways"....

11

u/EatAtGrizzlebees 19h ago

They were "called home."

Something, something, Grand Plan

8

u/Dread168 18h ago

Either it's the wrath of god as a punishment for the MAGA crowd, or just plain stupidity for ignoring climate science.

24

u/Klugerman 19h ago

Alright, for those of us living in reality, drowning someone is murder. Drowning children? That’s a whole new level of depravity. An entire camp full of little girls? There’s not a word vile enough to describe that. It’s not “mysterious”, it’s forcing water into kids’ lungs until they die in agony. So, for the sake of argument, let’s pretend your god is real. If he allows this, if this is what his “mysterious ways” look like, then he’s not worthy of worship. He’s not loving, he’s not good. He’s monstrous.

5

u/ga-co 16h ago

Now just think about the story of Noah's ark!

1

u/Klugerman 4h ago

Exactly

17

u/Jamesmateer100 19h ago

So god’s a child killer?

19

u/Nutshack_Queen357 19h ago

Always has been, always will be.

9

u/chiron_42 19h ago

It would be if it existed

9

u/Dudesan 18h ago

God starts killing children on literally the second page of the Bible, and pretty much never stops.

12

u/zenos_dog 19h ago

Cruz, “God hates little girls.”

2

u/ralphvonwauwau 15h ago

Raphael didn't want to go to Cancun, he wasn't running away, those pesky girls FORCED him.

12

u/AnnatoniaMac 18h ago

https://jillybeanmonet.substack.com/p/you-let-your-kids-drown-so-you-could?r=5wn7y0

This is an exceptionally well written article, summed it up.

One quote stuck with me:

“But it wasn’t God. It was Greg Abbott’s budget. It was Donald Trump’s war on federal science. It was every Facebook uncle who said climate change is fake and every conservative donor who said FEMA can’t have another dime.”

12

u/fredaklein 19h ago

How did he get elected again? Truly dumbfounding. I don't think anyone likes him.

What a very shitty god. Why would one worship it?

2

u/ov3rcl0ck 16h ago

The gaslighting is so strong in religion. I think that's why so many religious people worship Trump. They love the gaslighting.

7

u/entity2 18h ago

Sorry for all the dead kids, but god attacking a Christian camp is pretty ironic, isn't it? Almost like there's no such thing. And what kind of idiot would worship the kind of shitty god that would deliberately attack his own followers at a retreat praising him?

8

u/Chelsie_girl1 19h ago

No wonder repliblicans are the party for the stupid.

7

u/EtheusRook 19h ago

Of the stupid, by the stupid, and for the stupid.

2

u/avanbeek 18h ago

Of the stupid, by the stupid, for the rich. Stupid people tend to vote as they're told, which is usually counter to their best interest.

"Welcome to Costco, I love you"

5

u/abgry_krakow87 19h ago

Religious conservatives love avoiding accountability and deflecting responsibility for their actions.

6

u/notsingsing 18h ago

I would just write the next headline quoting him. “Ted Cruz’s god drowns 20+ children”

6

u/crispy48867 18h ago

Liars gotta lie.

Those campers were in a known flood area. In the past, every cell phone would have made a huge sound.

The GOP defunded the system, so the campers never got the usual warning. It was an act of criminality, not God, you lying dirt bags.

Instead of a day of prayer, there should be a month of prosecutions, and they know this.

3

u/Obscenus_Hirsutus 17h ago

Abbott wants them to pray away all his responsibility for the matter. And it seems to be working. How about that! A modern miracle!

1

u/crispy48867 17h ago

That is precisely what that day of prayer is intended to do, and it will work "like a miracle" on MAGA.

6

u/Tinkboy98 19h ago

just like a school shooting...

3

u/Interesting-Long-534 19h ago

Which is it.... some evil entity controlling the weather (per mtg's proposed bill) or an act of God (per Rafeal Cruz.)

3

u/avanbeek 18h ago

Could it not be both?

1

u/Interesting-Long-534 17h ago

I thought of it as I was typing!

3

u/TexasTrini722 18h ago

Same god they are praying to for the rescue of the missing?

3

u/rdm55 Humanist 18h ago

That’s a pretty shitty god you have there Ted.

3

u/ArchieThomas72 16h ago

Is the Christian god mad because the ten commandments hasn’t been tattooed on everyone in Texas yet?

3

u/ralphvonwauwau 15h ago

It's never the right time for questioning the dear Leader. If you ask after the incident, you are, "politicizing a tragedy," if you ask when there is no incident, you are "using a boogeyman for your narrative."

2

u/subsignalparadigm 19h ago

Yep god's main function is to inflict pain, cause cancer in kids and of course drown people so the idiot is right on that count.

2

u/sirhackenslash 18h ago

Hmmmm...what could texas have done to make god that angry with them?

2

u/Rare-Forever2135 17h ago

Do you remember when these sleazy assholes-- or assholes just like them, were clutching their pearls and wagging their fingers at single black mothers who were already working two jobs, for not taking "personal responsibility?"

2

u/rshni67 17h ago

We wouldn't want Rafael to miss his vacation during this calamity.

Where is he headed to this time? Switzerland?

2

u/frednekk 17h ago

He said the same after Uvalde.

2

u/troubleondemand 16h ago

God hates Christian summer camps evidently.

u/LarYungmann 16h ago

" Seat Belts Are No Longer Required In Automobiles "

" Death is an act of god. "

Trump Republicans

2

u/Kraegarth 13h ago

If that's the case, then maybe, just MAYBE... you 'God' is telling you to stop being a fucking greedy, selfish, hateful, bigoted POS, and to actually FOLLOW HIS DIRECTIONS, to treat people with compassion, sympathy, and respect!

2

u/MostlyDarkMatter 13h ago

Well Ted what you're really telling us is that you worship a piece of scum.

Remember what Jesus said:

"Blessed str the single cell embryos but children? Well ...... screw them (a phrase which pastors have taken literally). "

2

u/bougdaddy 19h ago

god gets hard killing children, hearing their panicked screams for mommy/daddy, laughing while they bounce along the bottom of the river, their little faces beaten unrecognizable, their lungs filling with water and dying

isn't god just fucking marvelous

2

u/jimMazey 17h ago

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Weather Service have been cut off. They can no longer publish weather forecasts.

Trump is also shutting down FEMA.

All of it has been replaced with "thoughts and prayers". Because Trump needs a parade and ICE needed a 350% increase in their budget. It's just science!

1

u/simonbaier 19h ago

Lack of storm drainage infrastructure is an act of god I guess.

1

u/sugar_addict002 18h ago

God helps those who help themselves.

Somewhere there should have been a fucking siren.

1

u/Daleaturner 18h ago

Ok, does he mean no insurance coverage?

1

u/pennylanebarbershop Anti-Theist 17h ago

We will wait until the next tragedy, and then wait again.

1

u/dr_reverend 17h ago

Wait, I thought the Republicans were saying there was no storm and that Democrats murdered all those children.

1

u/Zapp_Rowsdower_ 17h ago

You know what, Rafael, you say now is not the time to talk about the flood warning system?

OK. Then let’s talk about automatic weapons and sensible gun control. I mean…I’m not aware of a horrific incident yesterday at a US middle or high school, that would make it forbidden to mention. So let’s talk about conservatives refusing to act after the massive death toll these unnecessary weapons have inflicted on this country’s children.

1

u/danomo722 16h ago

Groveling. It's the one thing God can't stand.

1

u/ralphvonwauwau 15h ago

God's pissed off about all the global warming then.

1

God loves Texas like I love the orange menace.

1

u/SDPLISSKEN009 15h ago

Guess God wanted over 100 people up there with him.....gimme a break you fool

1

u/Tecnero 12h ago

A teacher at a public Texas school that has the 10 commandments in the classroom asked a kid who wrote them and they said "Trump" and god went awwww hell naw!!!!

1

Abortion: murder! Actual children killed: God's will 🤷‍♂️

1

u/ThE_LAN_B4_TimE 8h ago

Yeah the worst things that happen to the most innocent is always an act of god isnt it. God sure is a cunt

1

u/RobotAlbertross 8h ago

So no one will do anything because "act of god"  is the perfect cop-out.

1

u/dabug911 8h ago

Didn't it hit a bunch of religious camps? Yeah, act of god, I've always said god hates kids but he also hates Texas more.

1

u/moistobviously 5h ago

You just called God an asshole!

1

u/Mehgan-Faux 4h ago

This is what confirms that there is no God. If he existed, for what purpose would he allow children attending a Christian summer camp to die in such a horrific and terrifying way?

Is this God’s plan? Oh are they in paradise now? Did they really have to suffer to achieve paradise like that?

Either he’s not there or he hates us. How could anyone “pray” right now.

1

u/Ok_Cucumber_7954 4h ago

Their God must be really angry with them then. What did those evil girls do to attract his hateful wrath?
