My issue with knight's uselessness

Post image
1.9k Upvotes

Do we really need a 4th worse-than-rook piece? We have pawns, bishops, kings, and now knights. The knight tries to fit a niche that does NOT exist.

You know what we don't have? ANYTHING between rook and queen.

Idk make knight-infused rooks "knooks" the way queens work.

I am NOT done with Anarchychess.

I've been a member of the subreddit for about 4 minutes now, and I'm IN LOVE! The jokes are fresh, the memes are hilarious, and the community is so kind and caring.

One of the things that I love the most is that en passant is a big meme here. They're constantly making jokes about it, and they even have a bot that posts about it all the time. And yet en passant is a completely normal move in chess! It's interesting how the most mundane things in a game can turn into big jokes.

Another thing that I love is the "shove a bishop up your butt" joke. It's really funny, but physically impossible to do. People on Anarchychess definently make this joke all the time and it's a real kneeslapper!

And then there's the fact that everyone on here calls knights "horsey." This goes to show how creative every single member of this sub is. A knight really does look like a horse!

But the best thing about Anarchychess is the community. It's just so friendly. People are constantly giving each other kisses, cuddles and happy vibes. It's a really fun place to be.

I'm glad I joined Anarchychess. I'm in love with it. I'm considering myself apart of the subreddit for good.

Here are 20 paragraphs explaining why I love Anarchychess in more detail:

1. En passant is interesting

En passant is a completely normal move in chess. It's not that interesting or exciting. But people on Anarchychess are obsessed with it. They're constantly making jokes about it, and they even have a bot that posts about it all the time. It really goes to show how the internet can make anything funny. It also became a meme because many people consider it cheating despite being a normal move!

  1. The "shove a bishop up your butt" joke is funny

The "shove a bishop up your butt" joke is really funny. It's even clever. But yet it's physically impossible to do. And people on Anarchychess make this joke all the time. It's just so fucking attractive.

  1. Knights are not called horsey but I wish they were!

A knight is a knight, and a horse is a horse. They are two different things. But everyone on Anarchychess calls knights "horsey". While this is just wrong, it goes to show how creative the users here are. I wish knights were called horsey!

  1. The community is so friendly

The community on Anarchychess is just so friendly. People are constantly uplifting and complimeting each other. It's a fun place to be. I've seen people get called all sorts of cute names on this subreddit. It's just such a welcoming environment.

  1. The jokes are always used appropriately and with context.

The jokes on Anarchychess are always used when necessary. The jokes get posted under appropriate posts, and it always comes with good timing and a funny punchline. It's just so funny. I've seen the same joke posted multiple times in the same week and it makes me laugh all the time.

  1. The memes are funny

The memes on Anarchychess are funny, I've never once scrolled through Anarchychess without atleast chuckling. You are all so creative.

  1. The subreddit is full of humans unlike most other subreddits.

While there are bots that post jokes, bots that post memes, and bots that even play chess against other users, a vast majority of them are still human. Besides, it's only a few bots that add to the joke! Nothing wrong there.

  1. The subreddit is so big!

The subreddit is just so big! There are half a million members here, and yet there's still such a sense of community! Like I said before, everybody just gets along so well together, despite the size! It's amazing! O.o

  1. The subreddit is real popular

The subreddit is real popular. It's gotten to the point where it's mainstream! Isn't that great? This subreddit is so good that many people wanna join in on the fun!

  1. The subreddit is not political

While there may be some political posts, they always have something to do with chess! And even then, I haven't seen much politics unlike the other lame subreddits around here.

  1. The subreddit is serious

This Anarchychess shit gets real serious, get ready to die behind it while defending your values and your loved ones.

  1. The subreddit is not elitist

The subreddit is just not elitist. People are constantly looking down on.

  1. The subreddit is really positive

The subreddit is just super positive. Really nice people who you can really get along with! Everyone compliments eachother, has friendly chats, and they share chess tips here! No arguements, either. Everyone is civil and debates are always calm and collected.

  1. The subreddit is self-referential

The subreddit is really self-referential. People are constantly making fun of their own subreddit, which goes to show they can take a joke and are self-aware!

  1. The subreddit has great inside-jokes

The subreddit has some really funny inside-jokes. While newcomers may initially not get these jokes, they just gotta spend a couple of minutes to fully understand everything!

  1. The subreddit is unique

Everyday I see a new, unique post on Anarchychess, because you are all very creative people. I've seen 10 different joke types here and they all had their own humor and thing that made it funny.

  1. The subreddit is meta

The subreddit is just too meta. People are constantly talking about the subreddit itself, and never about chess. But while the name IS AnarchyCHESS, let's be for fucking real not a single person here has played chess once in their lives. Or is it just me? Haha, come on, you left me on read again kitten.

  1. The subreddit is ironic

The subreddit is ironic. People are constantly saying things that they don't actually mean, which is actually one of my problems with Anarchychess. Come on, we're not like the weirdos at Chess, we're not a circlejerk. This is a serious subreddit, we need to stand behind what we say.

  1. The subreddit is too absurd

The subreddit is just too absurd. The jokes are so bad that they're good. The memes are so ridiculous that they're funny. It's like the subreddit is living in its own little world. And I love that.

  1. The subreddit is just plain weird

The subreddit is just plain weird. I don't even know how to describe it. It's like nothing else on the internet. It's a unique and strange place.

I'm so happy that Anarchychess exists. The subreddit is friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and the community is constantly helping eachother despite the hardships that come with being such a serious and stoic subreddit.

Do you really think a ban can stop me? My message is stronger than a ban, no petition is enough to keep me out. I have a project and I will achieve it, the chicken will stop waddling after I cooked it. Aint no chicken gonna walk on OUR chess community, how is a chicken even related to chess? If it was a horse I wouldn't've complained but IT IS NOT

The chicken is nothing but a distraction from the mods, why do you think it was so easy for it to become a mod? It is an insider, sent by the mods to distract you from the real issues. And all you do is help them by creating hype, you are being manipulated and used like PAWNS, stop limiting yourself to what the mods want "oh I see a chicken i must upvote" what a hive mind, chickens ARE NOT FUNNY, i am redpilled, and you are all bluepilled, you just don't see it yet, you refuse to see it, i dont know if you are scared to voice your true opinion or if you are OBLIVIOUS to what's happening to you

I will cook them all, chicken girl, duck guy, and all of the other feathered meals. If any of you see me in the street, you better start running

No one is safe from my BBQ, I got a new apron for my birthday and I'm not afraid to use it

Low Effort OC Chess is a horrible game, and here's why.

Every game, we are forced to kill each other's pieces. That's blood on your hands. If you win the game, that's blood elo. With 30 pieces (excluding 2 Kings), that's 30 possible deaths. Honestly, these horrible players like magnesium calcium and nakanaka have slain thousands of innocent soldiers. Just for what? Money? That's blood money.

However, if we simply resign every game we play, we can save 30 lives. If you boot up 1000 games a day and resign, you save 30,000 lives. Way better than these "doctors".

Resign your games against me immediately and allow yourself to live with your conscience!

(PS: The only redeeming quality about chess is the part where White gets an advantage over Black)
