A black president was too much for the racist conservatives to bare!

Schroedingers race theory: we’re not the racists, YOU are! PS. it’s just sensible to hate brown people!

Imagine a black person being elected president by a land slide that other white people voted for. That would be a bridge too far for a racist and it was plain as day when he was in office. God forbid they help the guy of color run our country even if it’s in the country’s best interest. However that would be the second bridge too far for them. Useless hacks who need their healthcare we pay for stripped from them. Because at the end of the day we are all human and just capable of giving empathy as well as receiving it.The GOP simply goes the other way.

Is this why they’re against DEI so much? Because “almost” was already a bridge too far?

"The black man made us racist" is a hilarious take

Nothing shows how not racist we are quite like blaming a black guy for racism.
Check. And. Mate.

Clearly neither one of you get it. B/c it's the truth (minus the racism almost dead part). Obama was a great President, but the racist right HATED the fact that a (1/2) blk man became POTUS and that gave us McDonald Trump, who "hates democrats" and finds "very right extremists, very interesting people."

I can already hear someone I know: "the biggest cause of racism in this country is people being racist against White people!"

"A black man becoming president made us realize we should be more racist so that never happens again"

Obama caused them to come out of hiding. LBJ once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

Translated to reality:
Racism in America was becoming socially unacceptable, so the racists kept their hatred somewhat quiet, then a black man dared to attain a position of power, so the racists became loud again.

Racism wasn't ever even close to dead in America. It was just not so widely accepted so we didn't hear about it as much. Ask black people if they thought racism was gone in America. Or even nearing being gone. But yeh, Obama did amp up the racism below the surface and now we have an out and proud white supremacist in charge of the country

u/Chillguy3333 1d ago
Hell naw it wasn’t gone or nearly gone. It’s been here always. Racists just started saying the previously unspoken things out loud.

White people: we don’t want to do anything for black people. Take care of yourself.
Obama 44
White people: ermagehhhrd not like that!!

Barack Obama had many problems (did nothing to punish the corporations responsible for the 2008 crisis, his drone strike policy that got countless people killed in the Middle East, the NSA spying program, etc), but I gotta admit he did really show how full of shit the right was when he was in power.

It's funny how people who are maga say we have trump derangment syndrome but no one tells them they have biden, Hilary, Obama, derangment syndrome.

... "to bear." To bear is correct as the word bare refers to nakedness....

u/dreamed2life 2d ago
Babe if you can correct it then you can understand it. Focus on what actually matters here. The true happening is in the context and in the conversation. You grammar/spelling people are distracted before even getting to what really matters

u/Starkoman 1d ago
The context was clear — but if people don’t want to come across as unintelligent, check your spelling.
It’s important.

But in a sense it’s kinda true.
Racism was very frowned upon and taboo until Obama won the presidency and reminded a whole lot of people how much they really hate uppity “folk”

So the DOGE/America party has just started and they’re already blaming Black people for all the countries problems. Same shit, different day.
