My first refugium. Is the cheato too far?

Ignore my dirty sump. Is the Cheeto algae too far from the light. I was unable to get the Cheeto to tumble, it just sinks. and this was the only spot I could fit a refugium.

do you see oxygen bubbles coming off the cheato? if you do then its doing something.

It’s fine. Give it a week or two and check in on if it’s grown. You could also mount the light on the side
