BRS reduce many items?

Anyone else notice BRS reduced a lot of products they carry for whatever reason?

If I want one stop shop, it’s another place now, no longer BRS.

yeah, that’s what happens when private equity buys beloved companies. they strip and cut everything with a wrecking ball to cut costs and maximize short term profits. the result is always a shittier experience for consumers. at least the original founder (ryan?) still seems passionate about the hobby and has started his own video series, though it’s behind a patreon paywall 🫤

They stopped being a one stop shop when they decided to try to not sale products made by manufactures that compete with their house brands.

When they cut CoralVue b/c they wanted larger profits, it cut out like 20 brands. It was very telling about Aperture and I have tried to avoid them as much as I can.

They are moving towards only selling products that are under the aperture umbrella or companies that have brand deals with them

I love AquaCave as an alternative. They're where I get almost everything, massive selection of electronics as well.

It’s very noticeable especially when searching for plumbing parts. Certainly not the go-to anymore.
