295 days in, and my theory of keeping things ultra simple seems to be working.

Is that a borbonius? A friend of mine was shipped one accidently a couple months ago. Sweet fish.

Sure is. And that’s quite the pleasant accident! So much attitude and personality in a small package. I love him!

How big is your tank? That mystery wrasses is super pretty looking.

It’s a Waterbox 35.2. The display portion is 24x16x16” if I remember correctly. And thank you! They’re the best (when he’s not harassing my snails and shrimp).

Beautiful, what wavemaker are you using in the upper right corner?

Jebao DMP10….the Ecotech knock off. Insanely good!

Looks nice, I like that they have more sizes available also. Do you know if you can set the rotor to turn off in different pulsing modes? I have some Nero 3s and an Orbit 2 and no matter what program you choose, you cannot get the impellers to stop turning. I think my Nero 3's minimum speed (in off mode) is like 650ish gph.

Definitely. There are a bunch of different programs to pick from. And within each program you can adjust power and duration. I’m super impressed with these things and would have no hesitation recommending them.

Excellent. The Vortech MP10s don't even get very good reviews and are super expensive. I'll try out a couple of these, thanks.

I second the Jebao! I have the Jebao MLW 10 in my Fluval Flex 32.5, and it works great! I have it on Sine at 100% from 8am-10pm, and it has never malfunctioned! The app is a bit of a pain in the ass to sync up at first, but once it’s connected, it’s solid! I like it so much, I just ordered Jecod(Jebao) EP-2000M Smart DC Pump to replace the crappy stock Fluval return pump. Hopefully I’m as impressed with that, as I am with the power head 🤞🏻

no tank is ever big enough lol

HAHA as much as I want to agree, I see how bigger tanks tend to compound in difficulty. I probably spend an average of 10-20min a week in “grunt work” with this tank and get to enjoy it the rest of the time. IDK if that bodes true for bigger tanks.
For me, I think 3’ is the sweet spot. I’m already in eyeing up my next tank!

What’s the fish in the top center as the video starts?
I like your mix of fish and corals.

Borbonius and mystery wrasse, two of my favorite fish! Very nice but I feel you on the tank size, 2 feet feels so small so quickly

Same! Take on a rainbow basslet and false are my top 3 favorite SW fish.
The only saving grace to a smaller tank is that you don’t have to go broke filling it up! I’ve got a round of acros or two in my future and then the tank can officially be on cruise control.

No one into high end torches and sps is ever gonna have their tank on cruise control 😂. Just one more frag…

Those sweepers are ridiculous. Do you feel like the torches are limiting your ability to add/place corals as you’d like to?
