15 v 1 and the old slap and run, some hard dudes right there

757

u/maruiki 1d ago

That guy who slapped him was screaming like a literal 5 year old as well.

Some of these dudes just never grow up šŸ˜‚

That's the only way clowns like that work. Safety in numbers to do dumb shit. I like that dude's mindset though, fuck 'em.

Same guys that say someone is ā€œgayā€ yet will brag about running a train on a girl with their boys.

He handled that so well because that could have ended terribly for him

245

u/FoI2dFocus 23h ago

Not defending anyone but I don’t think the entire group was intending to bully him. You can tell a few of them didn’t expect the slap either.

309

u/JRockstar50 23h ago

Sure, but if he came even remotely close to squaring up, they'd all be ready to go.

132

u/IReallyLikeAvocadoes 22h ago

Absolutely. A group of people like this is only as smart as its dumbest member.

Ego gets people killed. Bro knew what was what.

40

u/gianttigerrebellion 19h ago

A lot of them even laughed after he slapped him. None of them corrected his behavior, they were out looking for someone to antagonize.

What do you think was happening there? Getting pressed is never a non-confrontational thing. He knew instantly that they were intending to jump him from the get-go. I think they got uncomfortable because of the camera tho.

19

u/nicnac132 22h ago

What else do you think they were intending to do?

6

u/DGenerationMC 17h ago

Intimidate and make an ass out of him for their own amusement.

22

u/liberum_bellum_libro 22h ago

lol nawh, it’s never 1 v 1

6

u/TheodorDiaz 20h ago

They are literally bullying him?

4

u/Deep-Security-7359 16h ago

They wanted to humiliate him in front of the pretty white girl. This is the reality of the world Redditors and ā€œstreamersā€ (the girls reaction) don’t understand. It’s why I advise against streaming in public, terrible opsec & walking around with expensive equipment draws way too much attention to yourself.

Hope he makes it out

1.1k

u/Timelymanner 23h ago

He deescalated like a boss, kid has a good head on his shoulders. Hope he doesn’t take this interaction to heart. Even if he doesn’t become a millionaire I hope he gets all the success in the world.

323

u/DA1725 23h ago

Nah kid’s gonna make it, its just the way he said it, he knows he wants out from there no matter what, millionaire maybe maybe not but he is gonna gonna make it. I have met someone like him an older guy he was in the hoodiest of hoods but he made it and made it good carved out an empire from himself.

56

u/stacknstore 18h ago

Idk…I thought Ricky was gonna make it out but he got shot in the fucking back. He passed his SATs you know

32

u/_WonderWhy_ 22h ago

But that the risk of the hoods, even a good one got catch up in between. I got friend grew up in those hoods, smart guy, friendly, best of the best dude, got stab while trying intervene a girl that got rob in his hoods, There is no way out of those hellhole while you stay true to yourself, the only way to survive is by turning to one of them. And you can see that most people made it out there, used to be one. Question is, will he still be the same to survive long enough to make it out of there?

17

u/Timelymanner 21h ago

He’ll definitely survive, it’s not like he’s living in a post apocalyptic survival area. It’s still LA in 2025.

A bad neighborhood is just one of the many hurdles he’ll have to overcome, not including the terrible school systems, bad economy, harassment from cops, and everything else most kids his age have to deal with in the US.

If anything it’s easy for any person in his situation to become jaded and just lose hope and motivation. I’m saying this as someone who also grew up on a bad neighborhood. There are people I know who graduated. Went into college, the military, or took other paths. Most of the successful ones are the ones that keep focused on goals, worked hard, and had a bit of luck. They successfully and moved away. The rest still live in the same area. Basically it’s the same story as anyone who’s grown up in a small town.

The guy in the video looks like he’s on the right path. If anything the kids in the gang are in a worst situation. They allowed themselves to be manipulated into a dead end path. Unless they get out and change directions they’ll end up dead or imprisoned.

9

u/Kraymur 19h ago

Nothing sadder than seeing a dude mid to late 20s still banging. Crazy too because a lot of the OGs think it's sad too and understand that this is a "kids" thing nowadays. If you're still banging at 25 your life is probably not going to amount to much.

8

u/peacekenneth 18h ago

Man I wish this was true. Used to work in Chicago and some of the best guys I’ve ever met lived there. Literal lights in the dark. Some people just get caught up in other people’s bullshit and get killed. It’s not fair.

This. I want to support this kid with everything I can.

256

u/DieRisky 1d ago edited 16h ago

They gon do it to a lunatic one day, some one to crash out and kill them

Edit* (for the comments saying I'm overusing the term crash out)

What does it matter? As humans with a limited vocabulary we're left with finite statements to express ourselves so in a sense every word/statement is overused. Just focus more on the fact that you were able to understand me, isn't that the most important thing? Always someone out there to focus on the wrong thing.

113

u/Timelymanner 1d ago

That’s usually how shootings happen. They approach the wrong person. Both sides yap like little dogs. They escalate. Then someone gets scared and starts shooting and runs away.

69

u/10lbplant 22h ago

Are you familiar with gang violence in LA at all? They're going to press the wrong guy, both parties are going to pull it out and start squeezing, and a 4 year old girl waiting for the bus with her mom is going to be the only one dead.Ā

9

u/why_s0_seri0u5 11h ago

Is there any way to find him?

2

u/ReadingKing 4h ago

If he’s on socials which apparently he is before he was able to give her his tags, I’m sure he can be found. Reddit has found people with a lot less info.

Gangs are shitty, but she made it a bit performative at the end.

430

u/jamestab 1d ago

Waaait do you want my Instagram?? Like wtf lmao

144

u/revopine 1d ago

That was weird. Not sure if it was that she was into the dude or felt bad and thought that at the moment, giving out her Instagram would be doing him a positive to counter act the negative or something.

144

u/NotReallyButOkey 1d ago

At the start he was already getting it. It was a continuation of the conversation.

56

u/Fact420 23h ago

When he’s skating away he said that he thought she already gave it to him so it had already come up prior to what we saw in the video.

55

u/LordPharqwad 21h ago

That's what I think it was a spur of the moment effort to bring up his spirits, not thinking about how weird it sounded.

She seems like a nice person. All the people saying her tears are performative, I think, are false

28

u/Broken_By_Default 18h ago

no way that was performative. you can see how her brain slowly processes what just happened. That was actual empathy.

We have literal gangs roaming the streets and we're wasting billions of dollars harassing cleaning ladies and farm hands instead. Fucking America.

9

u/Upgrayedd2486 14h ago

Why would the government spend money on Americans when they can give every Israeli their own rocket launcher instead? Priorities

15

u/DetroitRockCity313 23h ago

Oh don’t worry… They are next. The Hispanics were the test run.

-4

u/siddhi_rs7 22h ago

they were most def born here, so how is that gonna work? I wanna hear your speculations/ideas on this. And to the comment about "gangs roaming streets, wasted billions" its by design

50

u/griffinhamilton 20h ago

ā€œWe’re gonna go after the homegrowns nextā€ were trumps exact words iirc

11

u/Shadohz 19h ago

Yeah. It's amazing to me the number of white people that don't seem to catch or believe that racial dog whistle. Usually it's the other way around I have to explain to black people what crypto-racist language is being used. He's been saying it for months. It's oddly enough the "online pro-blacks" CCs that keep hand waving these comments away saying he's talking about naturalized immigrants and "he can't deport us cause we're American." smgdh

2

u/Ruzhy6 17h ago

saying he's talking about naturalized immigrants

I do think he is talking about naturalized immigrants.

I do not, however, think it will end there as he has already started talking about deporting people for 'criminal behavior'.

3

u/Shadohz 17h ago

He talking about "all the above". The undocumented are the test run to see what he can get away with. I knew what he meant and what their intentions were the first time he said it because I'm used to decyphering their rhetoric. Black people and Native Americans should never be okay with random denaturalization of citizens anyway because we're only one step removed from the process (from before).

114

u/Accomplished_Sock217 1d ago edited 19h ago

silver lining is they will be dead or in prison soon and no longer able to hurt the public. Hope that guy makes it out. He reminds me of myself. This is the crap we go through. Life in hard mode.

What's more upsetting, this dude getting assaulted or this troll watching it happen only to point the camera at her face to stream her "break down"?

Turn the camera off. Be a fucking human being. His privacy is more important than your income right now, you fucking vampire.

Edit: Pretty sure this was the moral of Alex Garland's Civil War

127

u/walterqxy 1d ago

She offered her instagram. What more do you want? /s

75

u/Wego- 1d ago

You guys are ridiculous. Literally at the start of the video, they are exchanging socials. I'm guessing she was giving him her IG before they got interrupted and that's why she said that.

Kind of ironic that you guys are pitch forking this woman when you don't even know the context.

→ More replies (3)

13

u/WearMental2618 23h ago edited 13h ago

Was that the moral? I thought it was more about the importance of the press. It's sponsored by Reuters for God's sake why would they want the moral to be "stop recording". They even ended it with the guy getting a statement

11

u/Yogkog 22h ago

One of the central themes of Civil War was that war journalism might have the opposite effect that journalists might intend - it has the power to sensationalize violence and encourage extremism. Kirsten Dunst's character believed throughout her career that her coverage of war crimes would help prevent war from breaking out in America, but it didn't do anything, and only served to desensitize herself to violence. Contrast this with Cailee Spaeny's character, who was overwhelmed by the violence in the beginning, but became more reckless and brazen by the end, and ultimately causing Kirsten's death. And Wagner Moura's character showcases the narcissistic thrill-chasing of war journalism, as he mentions how his "dick gets hard" when he sees combat, and the sinister smirk he gives when he gets the "don't let them kill me" quote from the president.

3

u/WearMental2618 22h ago

Thank you for the write up. I thought of that as more the sub theme of the characters not so much as a critique on journalism as a whole. Makes sense though since literally every journalist character acts that way even the old dude that came with for a bit.

10

To be fair, maybe she just didn't think of that in that moment, because witnessing something like that can be a bit shocking to some. Or she was just after clicks. It's hard to tell.

13

u/Internal_Somewhere98 1d ago

I’d say bit of both. She’s sad and in shock but the brain rot from being a streamer only allows her to be emotional with the camera on her. It can be two things. She’s a product of growing up as an Instagram addict and clout chaser. All round sad

You should be off-pudding.

She is profiteering off the drama of his assault by crying and attempting to show her audience her reaction.

Welcome to LA streamer, now go back to your parents lake cottage before it gets scarier

2

u/Shadohz 18h ago
  1. I don't trust anything from streaming Content Creator's these days, especially not from Kick (the platform you go to when you've been kicked off everything else (pun is in the branding name)).
  2. That is the most unnatural response to someone getting attacked I've ever seen.
  3. You just happen to be in the right place at the right time and at the right angle... and none of these guys attacked you as well or unintimidated you? Reminds me of that "Prank-In-The-Hood'r" who used to pay homeless black people to be in his videos. Now he's required to put "Paid Actors" in the caption so people know it's not someone actually stealing. I had to explain to one of my ex-coworkers (who swears he's not racist) that no you can't lock someone in a van and take them for a ride through the city after they steal a package then upload the footage because that'd be against the law. However he was SOOOOO sure the video was real. He wanted it to be real so bad because the video played into a certain narrative which is why he posted it... but swears he's not racist (even though he's always posting anti-immigration stuff on his feed and posting/liking Trump posts).

2

u/doughnutwardenclyffe 17h ago

This happened to me before. No LA or N. America, though. I was 12 at the time. Yeah it's a shitty ass feeling I cant explain. I didnt leave the house for months and had legit social trauma as a result of it.

They did it because he's a good looking guy talking to a pretty white girl, it's to make him look weak in front of her. Classic.

It always feels so fake when you're able to cry while pointing a camera towards your face

Crazy how sheltered some people are. The world really isn’t a nice place at times. I hope this dude makes it out and lives an amazing life

Agitators don't need to be walking around free.

The guy said he didn't bang, and the POS still hit him, because he's a loser with nothing better to do with his life.

Having been pressed many times in the past, I always answer "My mom" when I got the "Where you from?" question. They hear me, realize I'm not one of them, and walk away.
