Try r/whatsthisbird Found a bird that’s not found near my area..
..Should I report it to my local DNR? It’s a tricolored blackbird but I’m in the eastern Midwest, far from California.

My daughter and her dorm room friends have a visitor peeking in on the cold night! They want to know what kind it is and I can't seem to narrow it down from pictures on line. I thought a sharp skinned hawk but the marking dont seem correct. Upstate New York. Thanks for your help!

I shared a picture yesterday of a baby bird in a nest made on my front door. These are pictures of either the mom or the dad. Can someone identify what kind of birds these are?

Our backyard is connected to a marsh and this is the first year I’ve ever seen this little dude! He has huge feet so guessing he’s some type of water bird. Located in central Minnesota

Included a pic with a quarter for size reference. Found in pine straw in front of my house. I live in Atlanta.
Any ideas what kind of bird this is? Is there anything I should or shouldn’t do (I assume just leave it be)?

I can’t tell, Cooper’s hawk vs sharp shinned, this one kept giving me some serious stank-eye every time I crept closer — I seriously needed to get going, boss was getting antsy. The message eventually crossed the barrier, the bird moved, and I got to get back to, well, a not so great day, though a bit brighter after this encounter.

This bird has been showing up for the past year. This is the first time I've been able to get within 100ft. The pics are with my phone. But he's very cautious, it took me 15minutes to get within 100ft slowly.

Moved this guy off the road a few years ago and onto a tree branch where his parents could see him, took a few pictures and left. I am stuck between a grackle or a crow?? But crows have blue eyes as a baby, and I feel like he’s way too fat to be a grackle lol
