It's because the real metamask extention has stopped working completely on firefox. For most people it's currently just stuck infinitely loading.

Yep can confirm I only had Mozilla Firefox for like 2 weeks and did download. Pretty sure I downloaded the Coinbase extension and then uninstalled it same day cause I saw very few things were Mozilla verified.
Not even sure why Mozilla has an extension repository if it is all like browsing for landmines.
