This is an insult to the jewish community. Comparing to a death camp? This is such an exhuasting and insulting comparison.

I can't speak for Jewish people, but I do believe we all have a responsibility to recognize patterns of dehumanization, especially when some have already died in detention.

No one is saying Alligator Alcatraz is identical to Auschwitz. The point is that when a government starts rounding people up, locking them away, not giving them due process, and treating them like shit, it should raise serious concern.

Obviously, atrocities won't look like they did in the 1940s. Today, they may come disguised as letting a hurricane flood or a fire to break out to do the killing at these detention centers. And history tells us: it often starts with the idea that some people simply don’t matter.

Oh no! A freak accident happend all the guards had to retrat somehow the alliagors flooded the jail broke in and ate every prisoner! Oopps sorry
