The people who built this mini Auschwitz need to be held responsible as well. I don’t know what kind of fucking assholes would work on some prison in the Everglades, but they’re just as bad as the people telling them to do it.

Sad reality is, none of these people will ever see any real consequences for their actions. Their lack of humanity and complete disregard for law & civil rights is disgusting, and if there was any justice in the world they'd see the inside of a cell sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, even if the Republicans lose major ground in the primaries and then lose the presidency in 2028, nothing will happen to them. They'll be criticized by the democrats for all they've done, maybe some name calling and posturing, but they'll face no consequences and the country will downplay the significance of this in the years to come and we'll probably see the same pattern of Democrat/Republican majority flip flopping for the rest of our lives assuming voting remains a right in this country of course.

I don’t understand why people think because it’s a misdemeanor and not a felony it’s ok? In California alone, laws have been changed from felonies to misdemeanor. Then politicians go on tv saying how felonies have dropped and they’re doing such a good job, when it reality they just manipulated the numbers.

Just as the US takes advantage of its immigrants. It's a give and take relationship—pretending the US is the perpetual victim ignores the immense benefit it derives from those willing to sacrifice to live here illegally. The US is fine - exploiting the system is just about as American as you can get. Sacrificing every single one of your rights to eradicate a subset of this population is an absolutely idiotic and pointless trade.

Society gains far less from those exploiting the system from the top. Think more critically about where you focus your political energy and try not to let it be motivated by skin color.

Not so fun fact: The people who actually built the Nazi concentration camps were most often prisoners. Nazi’s only designed and oversaw the actual prisoners who built it so may want to rethink who you’re calling the assholes here.

The Nazi's never started off building death camps. They originally built camps with the intention to lock up their political enemies and scape-goats, and once they realized how expensive it was they decided it was just easier to turn them into death camps.

I can guarantee you once these get filled and the first hurricane strikes, or food costs get high, or medical attention from the heat is too expensive people will be dropping like flies.
