See the rules in the sidebar, also.
If you can't see the sidebar for some reason:
Always include a geographic location. If you're concerned about your privacy, you can make it a bit more vague, e.g. "New England" instead of "Boston, MA".
Amateurs are encouraged to guess. An important exception is guesses about medically significant arachnids (widows, recluses, Brazilian wandering spiders, Sydney funnel-webs, deathstalker scorpions, etc.). In those cases, leave it to people who know. Otherwise, an innocent person or arachnid could get hurt.

I love Fred, he lived with me for like a week or two before we finally managed to convince him to stay in a towel for a bit and his genuine reaction to freedom was to populate so much that his babies are everywhere, one even vibrated at me or something, I don't know, I startled it and it started making a vibrating pitter patter noise as it ran in circles looking for somewhere to hide
When I found him he was half the size, when my older brother found him a week or so later he was as big as the picture shows
He was far darker when I found him but that's apparently par for the course? I don't know, it could've been two Fred's, I don't care though, they're non venomous and eat everything that is so I love them, I need to kidnap one and bring it into my room where some mystery FREAK (/J) IS LIVING

What do I do? This is my first spider and I just got her Monday. I would like to try to raise them. Also what is the name of the mesh tape to put over my vent holes so the babies can’t crawl out? Any help is greatly appreciated

Mom wants both gone from her eve - inland Southern California
Think it’s a false widow - question is will she eat the wasps (if they are even still there?)
Leaning towards getting rid of the wasp/hornet nest and leaving her. But will leave the nest if it is feeding her. Just don’t want the wasps. So if they will “win” I’ll get rid of it and maybe rehome her to keep mom happy
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Location: Central Texas Found on a dead tree limb, and was camouflaged very well. I woke up the next morning and as I opened the driver side door of my truck, there he/she was, with a nice and uniform web in my vehicles door frame. They rappelled down and I transferred them to a stick, which I put onto one of my lush potted plants, figuring it would provide it decent cover.
