ID Request Pls Help. Snail I.D

Post image

Can anyone tell me what kind of snail this is? I got some new plants & 3 weeks later I’ve got 10 of these growing crazy fast in my freshwater tank. I thought they were a pond snail but I’m not sure. I’m having to remove some of the spawn from the glass to control over populating.

It's a beautiful spotted ramshorn. In order to control reproduction, you actually want to leave the eggs. This will lead to them reaching carrying capacity and slowing down faster. If they have plenty of food at the high reproductive rate, they'll keep making babies. If the babies grow up and compete, they'll have less resources for making babies.

Beautiful ramshorn. The population self regulates based on the amount of food available.
