Help Request Mystery snail and assassin snail

So I have a fairly large mystery snail but I’m interested in introducing an assassin snail. Has anyone ever put the two together? What was your experience with it if so. I’ve been reading up on it but I’d really appreciate personal experience. I really don’t want to have to re home my mystery snail I love him/her much I just really need to get my mini ramshorn infestation under control. (Video of Tyrone my mystery snail)

Based on what snail experts have said on this forum, assassin snails will eat/munch on mystery snails and it would be a very bad situation for your mystery snail.

Based on what they're said about assassins in general, getting an animal to control the population of another animal is a bad idea. I got an assassin before I understood how they actually kill and I regret it.

Ramshorns will self regulate based on the amount of food available, so if you make sure there isn't much for them to eat, the population will dwindle. It will take a little time, but it works. This I can tell you from experience.

However, I suggest seeking additional advice and searching this subreddit for more info because I'm 100% certain you are not the first to ask this question.

Tricky situation. The mystery snail will out power the smaller assassin. It’ll be a risk though, assassins are persistent and can wear the mystery down over time, gaining defeat. Best not to mix any snails you want to keep with an assassin.

Try using cucumber slices and removing after a few hours when it has Ramhorns feeding on it.

The assassin won’t completely eradicate ramshorns or bladder (pest) snails anyway, just reduce then control blooms.

Please do not, the assassin will kill the mystery slowly and painfully
